The intensive course is designed for general surgical pathologists and pathologists in training, interested in soft tissue pathology. The aim of the course is to provide a comprehensive review and update of selected topics in soft tissue pathology. The lectures will focus on lipomatous tumors, myxoid soft tissue tumors, mesenchymal tumors of the skin and the GI-tract as well as on the use of immunohistochemistry and molecular pathology in the diagnosis of soft tissue tumors. In addition, the clinical aspects will be discussed by providing insights in the surgical and medical treatments of soft tissue tumors. The participants will have the opportunity to review digitized cases (virtual microscopy) four weeks prior and four weeks after the course. During the course, the cases will be extensively discussed by an interactive approach.

This course is designed for practicing pathologists as well as senior pathology trainees. Due to the current pandemic of coronavirus (COVID-19), distance regulation, and hygiene measures, the course could be limited to 50 participants.
